When I go to stores I always see clothing lines  excluding those who are not sizes 0 to 12. I believe that your size should not restrict you from having great style.  I’ve seen many plus size lines that were not up to date with the latest trends and also did not have a high quality clothes. Luckily, I found a perfect line called Monif C. that is high quality and that are always up on the latest trends in the Fashion industry. Monif C. is inspirational to all women of different sizes. I am fortunate enough to have a interview with the brand Monif. C.

BSF: When was Monif C. created? 

MC:Monif C. was founded in 2005 by myself and my mother, Elaine Clarke.

BSF: When did you decide to start a line like Monif C.?

MC: After a life changing trip to London in 2004, I decided to take a leap
of faith and start Monif C. I wanted to create a distinct line for plus
size women that appreciate their body and fashion forward designs. 
Monif C. is not about hiding your curves, it’s about loving them!

BSF:What makes Monif C. different from other clothing lines?

MC: Monif C. is different from other clothing lines first and foremost
because it is designed by plus size woman, me! Our clothing line is a
reflection of the love I have for my own curves and giving women that
look like me what they want. Also, the line is a designer, contemporary
line so we focus on fashion not just function although function is a
part of our design. When you look at the Monif C. collection, I want
women to say WOW, this is fashion to stand out from the crowd and look
amazing, not to blend in the corner. We are setting trends, using
luxurious fabrics like silks, velvets, etc. It’s really a celebration
of fashion for beautiful plus size women!

BSF: Any advice you would give to young girls and woman that are dealing
with body issues?

MC: The advice I would give to young girls and woman dealing with body
issues is to love yourself ALWAYS. It’s not about looking for outside
influence to feel beautiful and it’s definitely not about waiting for
your life to change (lose weight, no job, get married) to feel good
about who you are. You are unique and wonderful just as you are, body
size has NOTHING to do with it. We are all here for a purpose and are
loved so keep your head held high and great things will follow.
